I just experienced an interesting problem that baffles me:
Under Online 4, using ESQL/C, I have prepared an insert
statement for a table. Everything works fine for ~10K
transactions (this insert is only a small part of the
entire transaction). Suddenly, the insert starts failing
with:
-242 Cannot open database table table-name
-101 ISAM error: file is not open
There was another process reading the table when the
problem first started, but it went away and the problem
continued. The table is on the same machine as my insert
process, and was created with LOCK MODE PAGE. My process
has SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT 60, but the error is returned
immediately, so it does not look like a timeout. Can
anyone give me some direction in debugging this problem?
Thanks in advance,
