Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I have Informix ODS 7.2. I'd like to be able to keep rows
inserted into a permanent table even if the 'insert' is in an active
transaction that was rolled back. The reason for this is that I'd like
to log atomic actions performed in a complex stored procedure to my own
log table, but if I need to rollback work performed in the stored
procedure I still want to keep the rows inserted into my 'log' table.
Too bad Informix doesn't have the ability to print to a file from
a stored procedure and the 'SYSTEM' call is too expensive to use
extensively. Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks,
Kyle
