In fact Joe Lumbley is working on a NEW Edition of this book to bring it up-to-date. The Common Sense aspects of the job never change however... Learn a couple of Axioms: 1) You can't do everything for everyone...Learn to prioritize or escalate things that compete for your time to your boss and let him decide which one you work on (and let him inform the parties of HIS decisions...) 2) If you make a commitment - Follow up on it...(I.E. Say what you are going to do and do what you say...)
