One further thought; the application that has been written in-house is character based and as such many users access the software via WYSE60 terminals or emulators running on PC's. As I am now getting to grips with the software I was considering moving to a more GUI development enironment which may enhance the usability of the software for users. I understand Informix NewEra was the option here but I have been told it is no longer available or rather it comes under a new name. What is the Informix GUI offerring and how steep is the learning curve for it? I have no trouble with the early release of Informix but all this new stuff is unknown to me. Cheers, Ian.
