IDS v 9.4 (and maybe earlier) supports 'dynamic explain' to capture sql
statements for a specific session:
onmode -Y <session id> 0|1
A file is then created with the following name:
sqexplain.out.<session id>
For example, if you wanted to capture the sql statements for session id =
789, then issue:
onmode -Y 789 1A file named sqexplain.out.789 is created and appended to with each new sql
statement - You may need to
poke around a little to find the file - it depends on the env of the user.
The output of onstat -g ses will show that dynamic explain is on:
session #RSAM total used
dynamic
id user tty pid hostname threads memory memory
explain
789 root 9 9069 atlantis 2 86016 85448
on
To turn off dynamic explain:
onmode -Y 789 0
Note* The user will take a performance hit so be careful in production.
Regards,
Ben
