Informix community, Is there is setting in the ONCONFIG file to change verbosity of the ONLINE-LOG? Specifically I'm looking to log successfully authentication with Informix, not just failed authentication attempts like -951 errors. Thank-you in advance for any insight. V/r, Jonathan B. Can't do it that way, no. However, you can create a sysdbopen() SPL function owned by "public" in each database and it will execute for each successful connection to that database. In there you can log the user's connection into a table with SQL or by using the SYSTEM command to execute an external program (like SYSTEM "echo "||user||current year to second||" >>some.logfile". Similarly you can use a sysdbclose() function to log the users' log out event. Art Art S. Probably the easiest way it to activate auditing and create the default mask (_default) with STSN (start session). The audit logs will contain all the sessions created (who, when, from where...)
