RE: Informix SE on Linux (brain dead problem)

No one would hammer you for such a dumb question. I've asked a few whoppers myself. INFORMIDIR should be set to the directory where informix was installed e.g. /usr/informix. You also need to set some other environment variables. DBDATE should be set to dmy4/ i.e. date/month/4 digit year with a '/' as a separator. If you are one of those weird Americans type people then I suppose it should be set to mdy4/. DBPATH will need to be set to the directory where set create a database (SE only), I think for ONLINE it is set to the directory where the forms live. Your PATH must be altered to include $INFORMIXDIR/bin I can't think of any more off the top of my head, but don't hesitate to ask questions in future. It makes the likes of me feel better because chaps called J.Leffler, Art S Kagel and Tim Scheffer keep asnwerwing all the difficult ones :) Regards Rekaish > -----Original Message----- > From: James Kimble [SMTP:jkimble@one.net.compans.com] > Sent: Thursday, January 28, 1999 2:33 AM > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Informix SE on Linux (brain dead problem) > > > I know I'm gonna get hammered for a dumb question but I'm > stuck.
