chunk removal

I've added a chunk which I think may be too big. Now the chunk "new" chunk is part of an existing dbspace. It seems that 3 blocks are used (this always seems the case when adding a chunk anyway) and no other data has been allocated to this chunk. Can I remove this chunk without corrupting the dbspace that it is a part of? OS= Solaris 2.6 Informix= 7.31.UC4

Yes.
onspaces d spacename -p pathname -o offset
i.e. replace pathname with the chunk pathname and the offset with the
chunk offset.
