Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I have an application that has recently been convered to run against a
transaction logged database. Prior to TL it worked fine. With TL, most
of the time it still works fine. However, when it is working against
a very large temporary table it aborts with the following messages:
SQL statement error number -242
Could not open database table (table name)
SYSTEM error number -141 ISAM error: tblspace table overflow
My sysadmin has increased the tblspace allotment to 2000 from 1000. Based
on messages that the program is putting out, I know that it is getting
a lot further along in processing the table. But my sysadmin feels that
the value of 2000 is very large and that something may be wrong in my 4GL
program.
So ... can anyone fill me in on what sort of thing I should look for in
my program that could cause the condition described above?
Thanks much in advance.
