Cannot CREATE VIEW

Hello! I have just installed Informix Database Server on NT, so it probably isn't fully configured, but I manage to connect from client computer and do some SQL-ing. Problem is: when I try to CREATE VIEW view_name AS SELECT * FROM Table WHERE ID < 10 (it should fetch just first 9 records) in SQL Editor 3.0 (on server and client computer) it takes long, long time (I waited for 8 min. and canceled). Table is quite big (350.000 records) and if SELECTing * in SQL Editor computer runs out of resources. So is it because table is so big or is there a bug in SQL Editor or server itself or maybe (god forbid) I forgot to set something when installing server? Lucijan

Create index on ID column . 2. After creating your database, have you performed UPDATE STATISTICS ??? If not, do so . Other things depends on your configuration, so if things above doesn't help you, please, send your ONCONFIG file to conf.
