All you have to do is compile whatever c-code you have on a libc5 system. The compiled code will run with no problems on RedHat 5.x. As to when a glibc version will be available Informix didn't say exactly, but they did commit to one. They essentially said that the Linux distributors had to work this out. When there is some agreement on this issue (more distributors, particularly Suse and Caldera) using glibc Informix will port immediately.
