This is the kind of tool you do not *need*. Informix support will dial into your machine and do patching for you though if it is required. If you realy do want to mess arround with this yourself it isn't all that hard to patch on the raw device using Unix tools but I would recomend very strongly against it. If you do you shouldn't ever expect Informix support to be able to help you out any more. This includes several months down the line when you finaly relize that your patch had corrupted something that didn't materialize before. If patching of this type is needed more than a few times over the lifetime of a db installation something is very wrong and have to be fixed at a quite different level.
