BTScanner is one of very poorly documented aspects of Informix.
Some information was available on Neil's site, but it's not here any
more.
I can just give You a 'rule of a thumb' of some
initial $ONCONFIG configuration parameters:
BTSCANNER num=1,priority=low,threshold=50000,rangesize=10000
This parameters are *much* better then the default ones -
for machnes with 1-4 GB of memory.
