Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Salman Qayyum, an SAP Basis consultant new to Informix 10.00.FC6, asked where to learn Informix architecture. Sheshnarayan Agrawal pointed to the IBM Informix documentation library and the IIUG site. Art S. Kagel recommended the Administrator's Guide, Reference and Performance Guide manuals, IIUG conference internals presentations, and attending the 2008 IIUG conference. Salman thanked them. Solved.

If you haven't visited IIUG site completely ... you should do that.

Check out the online manuals, specifically the Administrator's Guide and
Reference manuals and the Performance Guide. Also on the IIUG
(International Informix Users Group) web site (www.iiug.org) there are
presentation materials from prior year IIUG Conferences that you can
download and go through. There are several Internals presentations from
the basic to the advanced there. Finally, consider getting your company
to sponsor you to join the IIUG at this year's conference in Lenexa KS
the week of April 27, 2008 where you can experience presentations from
other users and IBM Informix developers and support personel live. See
you in Kansas.
