I think that you have 3 options, all of which you have mentioned: 1. Recompile (this is best, in my view). 2. Create symlinks in msg pointing at files in msg/en_us/0333. 3. Run the 7.1x programs with INFORMIXDIR pointing at their 7.1x runtime environment; run the 7.2x programs with INFORMIXDIR pointing at the new 7.2x environment. Ensure that the INFORMIXSQLHOSTS file is the same in both cases (probably by having the environment variable point to the same file, and/or by making the sqlhosts file in one directory into a symlink pointing to the other). > (Solaris 7.X engines).
