OK I created a table 'test_rbv' with three columns col1, col2, col3. col1
is serial, col2 and col3 CHAR. Ran the following SQL Statements:
insert into test_rbv(col2, col3) VALUES ('rob','vorbroker');
insert into test_rbv(col2, col3) VALUES ('john','doe');
Ran 'select * from test_rbv' and got the following results:
col1 col2 col3
1 rob vorbroker
2 john doe
Looks like it already works as is. At least on a SUN box with IDS v9.30
