Copy the backup .idx file into your $DBPATH und launch '$INFORMIXDIR/bin/bcheck -y table????' there. 1b) You have no backup :) But you know the table structure, hopefully. Re-create a dummy table, exactly like your old table (fields & indexes). Now copy 'dummyXXXX.idx' to 'table????.idx' und run 'bcheck -y table????'.
