Are you sure you're using a version of the engine that writes to $DBTEMP
rather than to a dbspace? (All SE and pre-7.10(?) OnLine I believe)
If YES then try checking permissions
If NO then use onstat -p to check space in whichever dbspace you've set
for temp tables to be written to.
If still none the wiser then the ISAM error code might just shed a little
more light. Perhaps.
