We have experienced the same problem as you. We have been able to work around it by doing an update statistics on the tables and SPL's involved. Why this solved the problem I do not know. After we encountered the problem a couple of times and got into production problems because of it we now bring down all applications ( we have a mix of 4GL and Java like you) before adding FK's. I do agree that this should no be necessary. We do not see the problem in our test and development servers (few users, no load) We are using 11.50.FC6 and FC7 and AUTO_REPREPARE is set to 1. Please let us now the result og the PMR
