I only had _one_ reply, so here is a summary of it: :We stopped using SCO-ISAM after some four months of working with it. The main :reasons for this were : : :- the .dat and .idx files are not compatible with C-ISAM :- it was only possible to open 10 isam files concurrently :- keys of CHARTYPE needs a null in the end to work :- the file opening (locking) scheme with semaphores and shared memories was : messy and caused problems :- the libraries were bigger : :So we changed to a product called D-ISAM, which is completely compatible with :C-ISAM, comes with source code and is run-time free. After 8 months of using :D-ISAM we have not so far had any problems. Good one, SCO! If the product is this bad, why do they bother? Anyone know where I can get D-ISAM? -- _--_|\\ Craig Macbride <lhscmc@luxor.latrobe.edu.au> / \\ <s900387@minyos.xx.rmit.oz.au> \\_.--.*/ v
