RE: Recreating ER replicates query
Posted in 2009
No - never got an answer. What we are looking for is some way to back up the cdr create commands, so we can re-run then in a dev/test environment (just changing the server names). Also, if for some reason the syscdr database is lost (think really dumb dba not knowing what it is so they drop it) then recreating the replicates would be useful. Templates are okay - but want something outside of the instance that will reproduce the commands. We can and do have procedures about documenting things when a replicate is created, but if that isn't followed there is a risk to looseing the replicate definitions (especially as we have a single central server talking to a heap of non-authoritive leaf nodes, so only one instance has the full catalog). Can you use ER templates to provide this functionality? It is close to what you want, I think. > As part of a recent upgrade exercise of our production environment, we > had to build a contingency plan for ER as moving from 11.10.UC2W2 to > 11.50.UC3 or UC5 caused the cdr threads to consume heaps of memory and > crash.
