You cannot insert to a BLOB column using 'PURE' SQL in dbaccess or
isql. You need to write or obtain an ESQL/C program which can insert
the text into your TEXT column. I Jonathan Leffler's sqlcmd package
comes with a utility, updblob, which can update the BLOB column of an
existing row with the contents of a file.
