If Online 5.x edit $INFORMIXDIR/etc/$TBCONFIG
If Online 7.x edit $INFORMIXDIR/etc/$ONCONFIG
check no line starting SHMBASE exists then add the line
SHMBASE 0x80000000
This should be listed in the release notes (ONLINE_7.1 on similar)
somewhere under $INFORMIXDIR/release...
