->Hello!
->
->A quick question about naming tables:
->
->Can I create tables without having my name included in the table name?
->
->I.eg. having knutv.tsttbl becoming tsttbl for all users.
->
->This causes us some trouble when we try to devolop client software in
->PowerBuilder.
->
->Any hints or comments are appreciated!

->In my opinion, it shouldn't be just my opinion !!!!
Look into using synonyms for all of your tables, of the form:
CREATE SYNONYM tsttbl FOR knutv.tsttbl;
Depending on your version of Informix, either:
1. all synonyms are public by default, or
2. you can declare public synonyms if you have DBA privileges, or
3. you can provide a script to your users to have them create their own
set of synonyms. (Applies to all versions, of course, but is least
desirable option.)
