Interesting point... So you are assuming there are Informix DBAs.... I don't want to contradict that idea completely but most of the time what I found on customers are "do it all admins", or "sysadmins that also handle the database" etc. I rarely meet a pure "DBA". Of course my experience is based on a small country. Even our "big customers" are small if you consider a worldwide scale...
