The arrow keys are "escape sequence" keys. This means that when the user presses the arrow key two bytes of data are issued. An escape character, followed by a data character. The TCP-IP protocol does NOT guarantee that both of these bytes will be transported in the same network data packet. DBESCWT is the hole number of seconds that a program will wait before taking action on a received escape character. This allows the application program some time to determine if the received character was really an escape (followed by bad data in the beginning of the next packet), or a broken up "escape sequence" key. -- Regards, Walter S.
