dbdiff2 1.2 - just realized
Posted in 1994
Sorry - don't know where I put my head. Do not expect dbdiff2 with the -a (authority switch) to resolve all permissions. Since one cannot REVOKE permissions one did not grant dbdiff2 compares your USER variable against 'grantor' and only generates code to REVOKE those that USER granted. It WILL generate code to GRANT all of the required permissions - since one can use the 'AS' option. j. _____________________________________________________________________________ Jack Parker | Hewlett Packard, BSMC Boise, Idaho, USA| With friends like these jparker@hpbs3645.boi.hp.com | who needs enemas?
