Hello Gurus,
I have a problem here on our SUN. I am running 4GL 4.10.UD1 and
SE 5.00.UC2.
During a construct statement a user enters a character into an integer
field and presses return. The program tells the user that there was
an "error in field" and leaves the cursor sitting on the offending
character.
Up to this point, everything is just fine. Now comes the weird stuff.
If the user then presses CTRL-C to interrupt the construct, the program
dies with a -1213 error (character to numeric conversion error).
On my SCO Unix box, the same program, using 4.10 4GL and 4.10 SE, will
not let the user interrupt the construct until the user has erased the
offending character from the integer input field.
Does anyone have any ideas how to prevent the abend on the SUN? Is this
a bug of the 4.10 4GL port on the SUN?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
