I have one big 4gi(4MB) program that takes about 45 seconds to 3 minutes to load (depending on the number of user) and if more than 10 nos. of user using, the 11th cannot go in anymore, an d the first 10 will stuck for a almost 45 seconds. What we did was to breakup the programs into smaller 4gi's with about 100-200KB and call the program from main 4gi which is only about 10KB.(parameter too!!) Guess what, the speed improves50 fold (I guess!!) The only setback is in the user threads, it reports the same user as two different processes.!! I don't know whether that is consider 2 user licences (Inofrmix.com, how??) --------------- ///I\\\\\\ Ahmad Pakhri Yahya (pakhri@aseam.po.my) // o o \\\\ Supervisor, Admin, Root, DBA // v \\\\ --------------------------------------- // - \\\\ ISD, Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad /// \\\\\\ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ---------------
