Color apps in Informix

We are running Informix 4GL (4.0) on SCO Unix (3.2.2). The application is written using color. We have noticed that whenever a window is opened over a color screen containing a field displayed in reverse and then closed, the screen is left with an inverse video area somewhat larger than the newly closed window. This happens on the console using the SCO ansi termcap whether the console is running color or not. When the application is run on a Wyse 60 terminal, for example, the screen displays are okay.
