Too many open files to the master oninit process

Hi all, Environment: SCO Unix 3.2 5.0.6 IDS 7.31 UD4 My Problem: It's not possible to connect to IDS, because the limit of open files per Process (300) is reached. "pstat -f -P PID_OF_MASTER_ONINT_PROCESS" shows ca. 300 open files entries. 277 ??? open file entries belong to the file "sqlhosts" (Open for reading). if I restart the instance there are less than 30 open file entries (with the same number of users). i manage ca. 20 IDS Server, but only 2 Servers with few users show such a crazy behavior. Anyone else had experienced such problem? Is it a known bug (IDS or unix) ?? Any workaround without to bounce to instance? What should i check to avoid such a behavior? (Excuse my poor school-english.) Heinz sending to informix-list
