There are a number of utilities out there that do this. I wrote one such that can be found in the Informix archives called dm. This is an ESQL/C program rather than a perl/shell script as a lot of others, though, so it won't do you much good unless you have the product. I run it via cron once per day and have it email me if we are running out of room. You can get this from ftp://ftp.iiug.org/pub/informix/pub/. We currently have a space with several chunks totally 100M. It ran out of space this morning, and we had to add another chunk. I would like to be wraned of this so I could correct it before we actually run out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | Elizabeth Finson efinson@uswest.com| | Web Site/Systems Administrator (206) 345-2751| | U S WEST Creative Services | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | Look: trees do exist; the houses that we live in still | | stand.
