More memory = performance

Hi Folks, Is there any calculation regarding to calculation of physical memory need for Informix Database Server according to couple of parameters like maximum concurrent users, page size, number of DSS queries etc. My other question is "To solve performance bottlenecks, *OTHER THAN NECESSARY PERFORMANCE TUNING AND OPTIMIZATION*, is it best to have huge physical memory".
