Nate- Get Archecker from Informix... It does what you want very well. I have written a C prg to run after run archecker that tells you when the archive was created ( self preservation -- operators weren't doing archives very well... ). Contact me if you would like the code... Eric P. Melillo Sr. Database Administrator Associated Grocers, Inc. Is there any way to verify an Ontape backup (full) other than restoring it? I'm using SCO Unix, the command syntax is /usr/informix/bin/ontape -s -L 0, and the tape device is /dev/rStp0. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! -- Nate McCorvie TDS TELECOM Information Systems Consultant - Infrastructure & Application (Planning & Assessment) mailto:nate.mccorvie@tdstelecom.com
