DESIGN AUTOMATION ENGINEERS Hewlett-Packard's Product Processes Organization (PPO) based in Palo Alto, CA is seeking several software support and development engineers to be part of a specialized team providing HP with leading edge CAE, CAD and CAM environments. Work with division customers to jointly specify new generations of product generation systems that will help HP be more competitive. PPO specifies and integrates third-party applications and relational database products into HP's information infrastructure and adds enhanced functionality tuned to HP's requirements. Our products are used throughout HP's world-wide facilities. CAD SYSTEM SUPPORT ENGINEERS Provide implementation consulting, training and support products for an HP- specific application of Mentor Graphics Design Architect and Board Station. Ample opportunity to work directly with customers world-wide in solving real time problems. CAD APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER Develop a board-level CAE design environment for HP based on Mentor Graphics V8. This system provides enhanced functionality, a distributed enterprise-wide client-server component information library and information database. CAM SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER Develop a leading edge manufacturing automation system. This system provides management of manufacturing factory data, optimization of surface-mount placement machines, and improved product manufacturability. PDM APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER Develop a product data management environment for concurrent engineering efforts in HP based on a commercial data management product. This system provides a distributed enterprise-wide client-server system for product data management. All Positions Require: A BS/CS or equivalent and appropriate work authorization to be employed in the US. Support positions require excellent communication skills, experience in EE hardware design processes, CAD systems, and UNIX skills. Development positions require strong data analysis and process analysis skills, software development skills, UNIX and C programming experience, good teamwork and communication skills. Candidates with an understanding of CAD tools, HP-UX experience, Informix experience, C++ programming experience, Mentor V8 programming skills, client-server development skills, and robot/machine interface experience are highly desired.
