SQL Error -10098 in 4GL/Loading into blob fields.

I got SQL Error -10098 when I used "load from flename insert into tbl" from 4gl. The file "flename" was a normal text file. Tbl consisted of one column of type "BYTE". The error message "Improperly formatted hex value". The finderr utility could not find this error message no.
