Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hi,
we encountered a strange problem using Informix on Sun Solaris 2.5.1:
If we connect to the DB (via E-SQL-C CONNECT statement) we cannot
allocate more than appr. 7 MB with our application. After that
size malloc() returns a NULL pointer and errno says: not enough space.
If we do not connect we can allocate as much space as available
on that machine (as expected).
Does anybody have the same problems - or a solution???
We believe it is just a configuration-option, but we are not sure.
TIA,
Matthias
