I suspect you've got a co-ordination and information dissemination problem here :-) For example, the problem with not being able to compile a runner on SCO. I reported this to Informix Software in Australia some months ago, along with the modifications required to the cfglgo (and c4gl etc) script. They hadn't heard of the problem ("SCO ODT is not a very common platform in Australia") but were grateful for the information. Fair enough, the support they provide is usually pretty good and without information from customers its difficult to know about problems. Information is a two way thing. However it is disappointing to hear that Lee Brintle has had the same problem and tech support in the US didn't know the solution. Do you have formal procedures in place to disseminate technical information between different locations within Informix? Anyway, two replies are better than none! I'm assuming that Alan's advice is the one to follow...
