My friend wrote me 2 or 3 days ago that he made Informix-Online 7.1
(SCO 3.2 version) operational under RedHat 4.0 with last iBCS
and using SCO's locale descriptions & libraries.
I don't saw him yet so I cannot explain full details, but:
Connect through: onipcshm (dbaccess client)
dbspace: file system
Now he tunes system to connect through ontlitcp

If you want to have single-user server then you can use WinNT.
I have such experience and prefer Unix anyway - even for personal use.
