Thanks in advance > Please mailto: PabloF@my-dejanews.com If the SELECT statement requires a sort (SET EXPLAIN ON,run it, and check the sqexplain.out file to find out) then the problem could by permissions to create sort-work files in one or more of the directories listed in DBTEMP or PSORT_DBTEMP. If you have tempdbspaces they will be used for temp tables always but not for sort-work files if either of these two environment variables are set. 60000 rows seems just about right to require one or more sort-work files as they probably do not fit an in-memory sort.
