You may want to try converting due_dt to a string within the openrowset
command ...
There must be some function that does that ... ie. to_char ( due_dt )
maybe ??
SELECT * FROM
OPENROWSET('MSDASQL','DSN=DSN;Uid=Uid;Pwd=PWD;',' SELECT TO_CHAR(DUE_DT)
FROM ii.PLSEL_NF')
