Daniel, have you ever bothered to look in to the mirror lately? You're fixated on Oracle and your posts here have no value to the IDS DBA or app developer. The point of your posts is to create FUD. I work with a lot of different datbases and have even done some conversion work from Pick to IDS. (Every try to unload a pick database and load it in to a relational database? Its fun! But when I post here, I focus on IDS. I think that IDS is the best DB designed on the market today. Of course you'll disagree because you're an Oracle bigot. Do I work with Oracle? You betcha. Customer pays me to do Java, C/C++ Python or whatever tool, to solve a problem. And I work with IDS, DB2, Cloudscape/Derby and even Sybase if I had to. But that won't change my opinion on IDS. And no, it wasn't the first database that I've worked on. The first was one that I wrote for fetal anatomy studies. Then I spent time with Progress. So don't call those who post here fanatics, cause you're more of a fanatic since you post here. -G _________________________________________________________________ Make every IM count.
