Hi ,
ifx 11.50 FC9X6 , AIX 6.1
I have a situation here where I need to run oncheck -cD on entire database.
(medium size , +- 300 GB of data , tables only).
Unable to run this over production , I "cut" my RSS (deleted it on primary
with onmode -d ) and was run the oncheck over the secondary (still as
secondary node, read only, without connection/updates from primary and no
users) .
I know it is running because they already executed for other 3 smaller
databases , but very very very very slow.
They is close of 0% use of CPU , and close of 0KB of disk reads .
Already reaching 48h running...
Any tips? is this normal? how speed up it ?
Regards
Cesar

did you use the -n/y flag ? It could be that the oncheck is waiting for a
response. If not I would say the process is hung up and kill it and try again
with just the larger database. Hard to say what went wrong but I would look in
the msg log for anything suspicious.

Hi Mark ,
The syntax I using : *oncheck -n -q -cD <database>*
