RE: Help - 567: Cannot write sorted rows. 28: No space left on device.

Himnesh,
The ORDER BY clause will create temporary file(s), the
following precedence applies:
* PSORT_DBTEMP environment variable
* DBSPACETEMP environment variable
* DBSPACETEMP configuration parameter ( onconfig file )
* /tmp
You must point to a valid temporary dbspace for DBSPACETEMP
with enough space, or if you use PSORT_DBTEMP, point to
a valid directory on your file system.
You can also indicate a list of dbspaces or a list of directories, in
that case, the write will occur in a round robin fashion.
Check onstat -g iof to see how your dbspace(s) are being used and
check onstat -d to see the free pages for the temporary dbspaces
when your select is executing to see how it is consuming the free pages.

Mario Estrada

Hi Bill,
The problem is with the cooked space where it is trying to write
teh sorted rows.
Check the DBTEMP and create some more space out there or set this
parameter to some place where you have more space to write.
