Hi. We are experimenting with the Informix Web Data Blade on a Red Hat Linux Enterprise 4. Not got to far so far. Running the ./install script we get an error that appears to be related to a -d paramater in the AWk command. (line 2 of install script) Question. Has anyone had experience with installing the Web DataBlade in the RHLE4 environment and if so, have they had this problem? Thanks

No version of awk I'm familiar with has a -d option. Art S. Kagel > Question. Version 4.13.UC3 (latest) comes as an rpm file, and it's almost just copying files to $INFORMIXDIR/extend/web.version. If your version is not an rpm, then check the first line in the install script. If this is '#/bin/ksh' then check that you have korn shell installed. If you already have registered the datablade with blademgr, you should run $INFORMIXDIR/extend/web.version/install/websetup to configure the web datablade - not ./install.
