RE: Y2K bug in Informix

Sorry everyone. After reading the directions, I set DBCENTURY to "C"
and it works fine on 7.30.uc2.
When all else fails, .....
My apologies.

It's a freshly installed instance. No other instance has been
there
before. I tried bumping the year to 04, another leap year, and
it
worked fine, but year 1904 was a leap year also. Just to make
sure we
are on the same page ... I get the msg : 1263: A field in a
datetime or
interval value is out of range" when inserting values
'00-02-29'.

No, it
I'm running 7.30.UC2 on HP-UX 10.20, and it works fine
for me...
Online 7.30.UC2, and dbaccess 7.30.UC2. Is it possible
that you
have an older version of dbaccess running against a 7.3 engine?

Hi there,
This is a famous one. Bug no 60150. The engine is not
able to
recognize the 29th of Feb., 2000 as a valid date. First
versions
that
have this bug fixed are 7.23.UC9, 7.24.UC4 and 7.30.UC1.
At the
beginning of Sep there was just another thread on the
same
issue. I'm
not sure if this is in the FAQ or not but it looks like
a good
candidate
to me.
Best regards,
Cristian.
