Upgrading to IDS 7.3.UC3-1 and ESQL/C

A few weeks ago, I sent a note to the news group asking for assistance with a problem I was having with an upgrade from 7.23.UC4 IDS and ESQL/C (same version). After the install of the 7.3 IDS, I attempted to initialize the a new instance, but got the error "Can not find message file, check INFORMIXDIR or DBLANG variables" The problem is, you must upgrade the ESQL/C libraries using the Informix Client Software Developer's Kit for Unix. The version I used is 2.01. On that CD, you will find the ESQL/C install files. Thanks for the responses from the news group on this matter... Tim Jones Romac International
