Just a hunch... You have a memory leak in your windblows machine. Its just a theory, but can you try to connect to the database from a seperate machine and run a similar query? Since your post indicates that its a read vs write/update database, the most likely cause is in your apache/php scripts, ODBC driver, etc ... Of course you're running an unsupported or soon to be unsupported release. Upgrade to 7.31 ... And get a real OS. Unix Sys V? You mean SCO? Move to SuSE!
