I am running informix SE on a UNIX server with a PowerBuilder Client. I had to install I-Net on the server and on the PC's. The installation on the server side was a piece of cake. On the PC side you need a WINSOCK complient TCP/IP DLL. We use WINSOCK.DLL from LanWorkPlace from Novell. Just about anything that is WINSOCK 1.1 complient should work. You will also need I-Net for the PC. I believe you have to get the complete package from Informix that includes ESQL/C as they don't sell I-Net by itself. Drop me a note if you need more specifics. By the way, our application was written for us by a company using PowerBuilder Enterprise. Enterprise has the hooks for Informix. If you use PB desktop, you will need an ODBC driver for Informix. I know Intersolv makes an informix ODBC driver and there a probably others. -- Jay Falck jfalck@pobox.com Unix System Administrator Central Reservation Center 512-389-8962 Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept 512-389-8998 (Fax)
