See the OnLine Administrator's Guide description of the 'onlog'
utility. (page 39-25, in version 7.2)

There is also an 'onaudit' utility, and a passel of auditing features
described in the Trusted Facility Manual. It is often much better
than a "roll-your-own" audit program.
On the installation you may have the option of enabling administration
roles (quite distinct from SQL roles) such as Auditor. See the OnLine
Installation Guide.
You may wish to take the System Administration course from Informix.
In addition to the utilities above, it introduces you to the new
feature that lets you run custom programs on certain events. One good
example of this is to dial the DBA's pager when the engine goes off-line.
There are hundreds of messages that that facility can process.
